How travel time and work time are billed

Two clocks, both visible on your ticket, and what happens to the estimate.

Updated August 27, 2026

Every on-site ticket records two separate durations, and you can watch both accrue.

The travel clock

Starts when the technician marks the ticket in transit and stops on arrived. Remote and drop-off jobs have no travel clock at all.

The work clock

Starts when the ticket moves to working and stops when it is marked completed. This is hands-on time on your problem.

Estimates versus the final cost

An estimate may be added to the ticket once the problem is understood. It is a forecast, not a quote. The final cost is entered when the job is closed and appears on the ticket alongside the notes describing what was done.

If the job turns out to be substantially bigger than the estimate, you will hear about it before the extra work happens, not afterwards on the bill.

Still stuck?

If this did not solve it, open a ticket and a technician will pick it up. You will get a ticket number and can watch the clock from there.
