When you enable Storm Chaser Mode, we collect your GPS location to display your position on the radar map for other users. This is entirely optional and only active when you explicitly enable location sharing.

Device Information

We collect a unique device identifier to manage your account, track usage limits, and provide personalized features. This identifier does not contain personally identifiable information.

Google Account Information

If you choose to sign in with Google, we collect your display name, email address, and profile picture URL. This information is used to:

• Display your name on the storm chaser map
• Add your profile picture as a watermark on uploaded photos
• Identify your uploads and notifications

Photos and Media

When you upload storm chasing photos or videos, we store them on our servers to display to other users. Photos may include location metadata if available.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide weather data and radar imagery
• To display storm chaser locations on the map
• To enable photo sharing between users
• To send in-app notifications about your uploads
• To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your data may be shared in these limited circumstances:

• Other Users: Your display name, location (when sharing), and uploaded media are visible to other app users
• Service Providers: We use third-party APIs for weather data (NWS, Open-Meteo)
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law

Data Retention

• Location data: Deleted when you stop sharing or after 5 minutes of inactivity
• Uploaded media: Retained until you delete it or request removal
• Account data: Retained while you use the app

Your Rights

You can:

• Disable location sharing at any time
• Delete your uploaded photos
• Request removal of your data by contacting us
• Disconnect your Google account

Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Children's Privacy

Our app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
